Princess Style on a Peasant Budget
SHOP LOOK HERE:
I feel like I've had this blog post in my head for MONTHS, and I'm finally making it happen! Yay!!
I have been slightly obsessed with all things Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle for a long time- highest on the list, of course being their style. Who's with me?? I've been known to spend an entire evening browsing their outfits- they are both so beautiful and chic! If only we all had their clothing budgets (and hair/makeup stylists), am I right?!
I have wanted to re-create one of their looks for a long time and as soon as I saw Princess Meghan's Wimbledon look- it clicked! I actually already had the top and bag I'm wearing and was easily able to find the rest of the outfit for a price-tag that was much more "budgeting peasant" than "famous princess." ;)

So, let's talk about what I found! This striped top is only $13- how's that for affordable?! It also comes in several other colors. If you follow me on instagram, you know I've worn this shirt a lot! I tried on so many different pairs of white culotte pants and soooo many of them were see-through :/ I loved this pair! They are higher quality, thicker material (read: NOT see-through) and a really cute fit. I tucked the ties in for the purpose of re-creating the look, but I think the tie is really cute too!
I also found the cutest white hat for only $15 from Amazon, and I loved the way it fit. I already had this bag and have worn it tons- it's under $40 and is the perfect size! Any neutral shoe would have worked with this outfit, but I feel like a little height always helps my silhouette when I'm wearing wide-legged pants. ;) These strappy nude heels were the perfect addition!
I had so much fun putting this look together, and I hope it was fun for you to see too! Who else is obsessed with the princesses and their outfits? Would you like to see more affordable outfit re-creations like these?
Thanks for reading, friends!
