Under $30 Back To School Teacher Outfits

One of my favorite times of the year is upon us - back to school season!

I always loved school as a kid so I used to get really giddy about picking out notebooks and markers at this time every year. I worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school for three years so I am very familiar with what this time is like for teachers and sometimes it’s really exciting and sometimes it’s a little sad. Haha

I used to amp myself up to go back by getting a few new outfits that would be practical, comfortable, and easy to transition when the weather gets cooler. That was the inspiration for this post (and YouTube video you can check out here), and I hope it’s helpful for you too if you are a teacher or wear business casual to work!

SHOP THE LOOK:

This jumpsuit feels like actual butter. Sooo comfy and easy- there’s no zipper so it’s easy to go to the bathroom in a hurry in too because I know that’s always an issue for teachers. Haha. I’m wearing size S in the jumpsuit and cardigan.

SHOP THE LOOK:

This skirt is a great length for teachers (I’m 5’3 for height reference), and I’m wearing the size S. This sweater is super lightweight so it will be easy to wear now and then layer with later in the fall or winter. I love navy and mustard yellow together so I paired it with these Steve Madden loafers- super comfy for standing/walking in all day!

SHOP THE LOOK:

One of my friends was saying the other day that his 2nd grade teacher wore a denim jumper every single day to school so I felt like it was only appropriate that I include this one after that haha! Truly though, a good denim dress is such a versatile piece that will easily take you into fall too. Mules are a comfy $22 target find too!

SHOP THE LOOK:

Paper bag waist pants are the new version of classic khakis to me- so versatile and comfortable! This graphic t shirt is one of my favorites- only $14 and one of the only graphic t’s I’ve seen that could actually be work appropriate. This duster cardigan comes in lots of other colors too! All 3 run true to size.

SHOP THE LOOK:

This little chambray top was one of my favorite finds for only $10! It’s appropriate to wear by itself when it’s really hot out but also works great as a layering piece. Tie waist pants are an under an Amazon prime find that I’ve had for over a year and love them! They run TTS.

SHOP THE LOOK:

Shirt dresses are one of my favorite workwear options! This one is a great, appropriate length for teachers. I sized down to an XS in this one so I suggest sizing down if you’re between sizes in this one.

SHOP THE LOOK:

It’s a little hard to see how cute this skirt is in this photo so you can check out the video below if you want to see what it looks like on. This sleeveless top is only $8 and comes in several colors. It’s super soft and is a great a layering piece too!
