My 14 Day Native Deodorant Challenge!
Can’t believe I’ve already completed my 14 day challenge to switch from my old deodorant to Native’s aluminum and paraben-free deodorant! Time flies when you’re trying to learn how to sweat less. ;) Recapping the entire experience with you today and hoping you’ll take the challenge yourself! Overall, I am so grateful I took the challenge and feel like it was 100% worth it now that it’s completed! I will be honest though, the first few days were the toughest. My body was detoxing from all of the old toxins in the deodorant I’ve worn for YEARS so it did take some time to adjust. I was most nervous about the sweating issue prior to taking the challenge, but surprisingly, that wasn’t an issue at all for me even in the first few days!
I imagine taking the challenge in the winter probably helped this cause (now’s the time people!), but I had more trouble with the smell in the first few days. I did okay until my first cardio workout (2 days in to the challenge), and I was noooot smelling great at the end of that.. Nothing a shower couldn’t fix though! Haha Since that day, I’ve done 3 cardio workouts per week and haven’t had any more problems!
I highly recommend getting this 3 pack of their most popular scents if you’ve never tried them out before! I honestly can’t even pick a favorite. I like to live on the wild side and just wear a different scent every day, and it makes me happy! Haha They all smell amazing! If you have any trouble with breaking out easily (I didn’t have any problems with this), they do also have a baking soda free sensitive skin line as well!
I’ve also been exclusively using their body wash since I started the challenge, and it’s my all time fave! It smells so so good (I have the coconut vanilla) and is also sulfate and paraben free. I will definitely be trying their toothpaste next! It’s kind of scary to think about how many products we’ve been using on our bodies EVERY SINGLE DAY since childhood that have damaging and toxic ingredients! I’m so thankful for companies like Native taking the initiative to pave a new path for our health and well-being!
Overall, I will 100% be continuing my daily use of Native deodorant and have been so happy I made the switch! I invite you to try the challenge with me, and my #1 tip is to really give it the full 14 days and be patient with your body making the transition! Wear an extra layer or two and have a stick in your purse for the first few days, but after that, you’ll be so glad you persisted through!
